Red Wine, White Dress. Killington Wine Festival

Happy Monday!  I spent this past weekend up in the mountains in Killington, Vermont at the annual wine festival.  It was nice to get out of the heat in Boston but even better to spend the weekend with family.  I chose to wear a sundress because not only is it easy to throw on, but it also kept me cool since the temperature was still in the 80's.  I just love white sundresses in the summer and the texture of this dress makes it a little more intriguing.  I paired it with flat sandals and gold jewelry, of course.

I decided to wear flat sandals since we would be walking on grass and gravel.  These Sam Edelman sandals were perfect for standing all afternoon.

We took the Gondola to the top to see the beautiful views

The best part about wine festivals are discovering new wines I would never think to try.  Some that topped my list for reds are Layer Cake Malbec, The Dreaming Tree "Crush" Red Blend, Chalone Monterey Pinot Noir, and Yorkville Cellars "High Roller Red".  I mostly drink dry whites so some of my favorites I found are Villa Pozzi Pinot Grigio, Chalone Monterey Chardonnay, Layer Cake Chardonnay, and Pavao Vinho Verde. The most interesting wine I tasted was Il "Ugo" by Mionetto.  It is a minty tasting wine that was served with a fresh mint leave and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.  What are some of your favorite wines?  I'm always looking for suggestions.  Thanks for reading!
