A question I find that I get asked a lot lately is if it is okay to wear a black dress to a summer wedding. My answer is always YES. Although black is always a perfect and easy choice for a formal or black tie wedding, it also works well for the day. Here I am wearing a dress by Parker that I wore to a wedding recently. I find that the flared skirt gives it a cutesy look that's perfect for an afternoon wedding. I chose light colored jewelry to soften the look, but another great idea would of been to add colorful jewelry, such as a turquoise necklace, to brighten up the dress and make it more playful.
I am leaving for my summer vacation tomorrow and can't wait as I'll be spending the week on the beach. It will finally be nice to actually get a tan!
