Happy Christmas Eve to everyone who celebrates! Was hoping for some snow this holiday, but instead we are getting a lot of rain and 60 degree weather here in Boston. I will be heading up to Killington, VT for the weekend, and last week they got over 13 inches of snow, so I will be having a white Christmas after all. Here are a few quick shots of an outfit I wore last week. Remember when I was crushing on the bow tie (here)? Well, I finally got one for myself and been wearing it non stop. I love how it can instantly change the look of an outfit, especially when I add it to a top that I have on repeat, such as this white Equipment blouse (those who know me know I will never own enough Equipment blouses!). This is a typical outfit that I would wear on Christmas day. Although I love wearing dresses, Christmas day is spent playing with children which entails crawling on the floor, playing outside in the snow, and may include a nap on the couch. A type of day that is more suitable for jeans. So to dress mine up, this bow tie and blazer make the perfect combination. I know it's not very festive, but switching the blazer for a cozy sweater or the boots for a pair of red pumps can easily do the trick.
Jeans: J Brand Maria (new wash here)// Blazer: Tobey Grey (similar here)// Top: Equipment// Bow: Asos// Boots: Lauren Ralph Lauren// Bag: Chanel// Sunglasses: House of Harlow// Bracelets: Vita Fede// Ring: Melanie Auld
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!
I know this look is from last December but I love it. It is a more casual take on that white blouse+black bow scarf trio. It all looks great with the classic black blazer.
