Knee Length Denim Skirt

Happy Friday the 13th!  I've always enjoyed Friday the 13th, because for some reason, it always turns out to be a great day for me.  Maybe because I expect it to be bad, or for something unpleasant to happen, so when things go my way, it makes for a better day?  Anyway, here's to a great day.

 This was the outfit I wore during my last night in West Palm Beach.  Since we were just having a relaxing night in, I went casual in a denim skirt, tank top, and flip flops.  Want to know a secret?  This skirt is ten years old!  Yes, you heard me right, ten years ago I would wear this ALL THE TIME!  My friends actually made fun of me because I wore it so often.  But, as knee length skirts were shadowed out by minis, it soon took its place in the back of my wardrobe.  Over many closet cleanings, I could never get rid of it, which I am very happy about because the knee length skirt is back!  I'm loving the denim skirt worn casually, as I have here, or more polished with a button down shirt and pumps.  I've really been wanting a distressed knee length denim skirt, so I've been contemplating adding rips to mine with a little DIY project.  Should I? What do you think?
