Red, White and Blue

Happy Friday and Fourth of July weekend!  I've been feeling very patriotic this week, and trying to incorporate red, white and blue into my outfits.  Although I love the color red, I don't wear a lot of it because I never like the way the color looks on me. Which is actually really funny because it looks great on my identical twin sister.  She's always been the red wearer, and I've always been the pink.  To make red work, I like to add it to my outfits in subtle ways, such as red pump, red lipstick, and in today's case, a red scarf.  With the 70's making a comeback, I've been seeing a lot of  neck scarfs lately and have been loving the look.  I honestly have had this bandana scarf since I was about ten years old.  I've kept most every scarf that I have acquired throughout my life, which I'm happy about because I have a feeling I'll be wearing them a lot this fall.  It's an easy add on to make an outfit look more sophisticated, and thought it made my denim shorts and white button down look a tad more polished.  What do you think?  Have you tried a neck scarf?

Today is also a special day because Mason and Tyler turn one!  I spent last Independence day in the hospital (for a great reason) so I'm excited to actually see fireworks this year, and have the twins experience them for the fist time!  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and thank you for reading!
