Color Block Sweater + Fashion Files Link Up

You want to hear a funny story?  My car's inspection sticker expired at the end of September.  During the time, I was in the process of buying out my car, so I totally forgot to get an updated inspection.  Jump forward to November 1st, when I realized I was driving with it expired, I made plans the following day to have it inspected.  Well, on the way to the garage, guess who gets pulled over for an expired sticker!  What are the chances?  This seems to be just my lucky lately.  I promised the cop that that was literally on my way to the garage, and thankfully he was so nice and let me go.  Or maybe he felt bad for me because I had a crying baby in the back seat.  I guess Mason isn't a fan of getting pulled over by cops either.  Anyway, the garage I like to go to happens to be next door to my favorite clothing store, Tobey Grey, so of course I had to pop in while waiting for my car, and that's where I got this great color block sweater.  Not only does it contain my three favorite colors, but I love how this knit is so chunky and cozy.  My first instinct when I put it on was to pair it with my high rise black jeans, and although I'm sure that will be my uniform this winter, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and pair it with white jeans, and ended up loving the look.  I'm actually thinking that if switch the grey booties out for a pair of snow boots, I'll have the perfect après ski look this winter.  Killington (and Sushi Yoshi) I'm ready for you!

PS. When I searched for this sweater online, it was sold out everywhere, but luckily Tobey Grey still has some sizes, so make sure to check out their website!  Also, I'm excited to be co-hosting the Thursday Fashion Files Link Up with Jill and Carrie again, so please join us in the link up below.

  1. I am sorry you got pulled over. That sucks. My favorite trio of colors to wear together are white, gray and black and you nailed it here. That sweater is stunning. It should get to my closet, now.

So happy to see you co-hosting one of my favorite linkups. You are such a fashionble girl.

In love with that stunning and bright wrap skirt. I also love all the options you chose, especially all the skirts. Those wine/burgundy clutches are beautiful, too.

P.S. Stop by the blog today and link up with me. Thanks. =)

  6. Great find on the color block sweater. It looks good with your white jeans and grey booties. Such a bummer on the pull over. What timing! Glad the cop was nice and let you off. My license expired once and I didn't even realize it!

  10. Oh no!! What are the chances of getting pulled over on the way to the garage! I need to get my inspection done this month, I need to get after the hubby to do it. That is so cool there was such a nice clothing store next to the garage! I love that sweater!
