"Whoever said that money can't buy happiness, simply didn't know where to go shopping" -Bo Derek.
Okay, so this quote may not be 100 percent true, because this top is only $19, and it makes me VERY happy (although a new Chanel bag would make me much, much happier). You may know by now that both white blouses (of all forms) and off-the-shoulder tops are my favorite. When you mix the two together, then add in bell sleeves, well lets just say that this top had me at hello. Because I wanted to pair it with pretty much everything in my closet, I decided to show you two looks today, and how this off-the-shoulder top can easily be dressed up, or styled for an everyday look.
I love how this top matches perfectly with just about every skirt that I own, and decided to go with a circle skirt for a flirty look. I finished my outfit with my favorite block heels (which are on sale on pink) and can definitely see myself wearing this for a bridal shower or girls night out. For a more causal look, I went with pair of distressed jeans and my new pom pom sandals. I've been loving the pom pom trend, especially when it comes to shoes, but hadn't added any to my closet because I couldn't justify spending a lot of money an such a trendy item. It's when I was in Target the other day and saw these pom pom flats for under $30, that I couldn't say no. I haven't stopped wearing them since, and I can't even tell you how many compliments I receive every time that I wear them (besides from my husband, he hates them!)
On a non related fashion note, TGIF! Not only has it been raining here in Boston most of the week, but my twin toddlers have decided that they don't want to listen to me anymore, and I'm ready to pull my hair out. So this long weekend couldn't come soon enough. We'll be heading up to the lake for part of the weekend, and I can't wait to relax on the beach while my niece and nephew tire my kids out. I hope everyone has a fun, yet relaxing Memorial Day weekend, and don't forget to remember and honor all those who have risked, and given, their lives to make our country a better place!
*This top has since sold out, but I did link similar white blouses below, and most of them are under $100.

We have two feature bloggers this week! Jessy from Current Bliss and Roxanne from Glass of Glam. I'm loving both of their floral looks. Jessy is rocking that jumpsuit, and Roxanne is beautifully dressed for a wedding. Make sure to stop by their blogs and say hello.
I can see why that top sold out, it's really pretty and I love it the most with the jeans, although it does look cute with your skirt too!
ReplyDeleteToddlers are too busy having fun to listen, haha! I hope you do get to relax on your weekend. I took my two toddlers to the park this morning to tire them out and I think I tired myself out more than them, haha!
Thank you for the link up!
I published my first eBook on Monday so I'm having a pretty good week! :)

I love the top both ways! I'm all about anything white and off the shoulder too. :) My kids have also been really rotten this week, I've been blaming the weather, but I'm also half crazy over here! So excited for this long weekend. Hope y'all have a great time!

ReplyDeleteWoohoo for long weekends. Our long weekend was last weekend and it always makes us begin the countdown to summer vacation (I am a teacher). As mentioned on IG I love the top/skirt combo but I also adore the more laid back version with the jeans and those adorable flats. Have a great weekend with family and hopefully the twins will tire themselves out silly.

ReplyDeleteThat top is gorgeous! And I love it paired both ways. How adorable are those pom pom sandals, too. And if it makes you feel any better, my 4 and 6 year olds never listen to me anymore. I try so hard to win these battles, but I fear they may be stronger than I am! I'm doomed! Hang in there, Mama, maybe it gets better! I hope so for all of our sakes! Enjoy your weekend.
