For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am a fan of re-wearing and re-styling items that are already in my closet. I'm not saying that I don't love to shop, because I do, and I get very excited when I bring home new clothes. However, as I get older my goal is to spend more money on classic pieces that I will be able to pull out time and time again. This DVF Zarita lace dress is an example of one of those pieces. I've owned this dress for four years, and this past weekend was probable the fifth or sixth time that I've worn it. It's such a classic cut that I've been able to wear it on multiple occasions including a wedding, a baptism, a fundraiser, and a bridal shower. I've actually worn it on the blog, almost two year ago, to my cousins wedding! Since it is wedding season, and a lot of readers have been asking what to wear, I wanted to share this dress again with you because it's been such a great purchase! I wore it this past weekend to an intimate wedding in Boston. The reception was a dinner at Del Frisco's in the Seaport District, which is my favorite area of Boston. Mike and I got there a little early so we could snap some photos before dinner started, since the Seaport makes for some gorgeous backdrops. It was a beautiful evening, and this dress ended up being a great choice. I love the lace details, and the back zipper is my favorite part of the dress. I finished my look with lace heels, dainty gold jewelry, and a red lip . Although this dress is a great option for a lot of different weddings and occasions, it is not appropriate for a black tie wedding, so make sure to check your invite to what what type of wedding you're attending!
I'm a little sad, because I lost the Vita Fede bracelet that I'm wearing on my left arm that night, which also happens to be my favorite bracelet. I didn't realize that it was missing until the next day when I was getting dressed. Because I didn't realize it Saturday night when I got home, I was sure that I would find it somewhere in my house. However, after re-watching my videos on Snapchat that night, I realized I wasn't wearing my bracelet when leaving the restaurant, and I know for a fact I had it on right before dinner, hence, these photos. Thank goodness for social media these days I was able to pin down where I lost the bracelet. However, I called the restaurant and they didn't find it, so I guess I'm #SOOL. Oh well, life goes on....
