I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the warm weather to arrive.  The sad part is that it's only mid February, and for those of us living in New England, we still have a lot of winter ahead.  It's usually cold through April, and you never know if we'll get a late spring snow storm, so it's safe to say that I won't be putting away my sweaters anytime soon.  However, that doesn't mean that I can't add a little spring into my wardrobe.  By choosing lighter colors, and layering my new spring purchases, (see my post about layering here) I'm able to achieve spring-like looks that are still warm.

One of my favorite ways to lighten up an outfit is to wear white jeans.  They have a clean, classic feel, and add a fresh touch to any top.  I paired my white jeans with this waffle knit sweater, which I can't stop wearing.  I love the turtleneck, slight bell sleeves, and the boxy fit.  I decided to finish my outfit with my leopard boots, and Chloé cross body bag.  Since this sweater is a lighter weight knit, and slightly cropped, it will be perfect to wear in the spring, and I can't wait to pair it with a denim skirt and these open toed booties.

Unfortunately this sweater is currently sold out.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if it came back in stock, so I keep my eye on it, and let you know if it's restocked.  In the meantime, I found an identical option, which I linked below.

  1. That looks like such a cosy knit! I love the white jeans with it too :) I used to have a waffle knit but donated it and I miss it - definitely on my list of pieces to buy for this upcoming winter :)

Thank you for the link up!

Hope you are having a wonderful week. The heatwave continues here unfortunately, so uncomfortable!

  3. I'm so glad to have someone to relate too when it comes to spring weather. :( So many bloggers are talking spring and showing flowering trees in the background of their photos, but we still have about two months of winter here in Wisconsin too. The sweaters and parkas won't be going anywhere soon. LOVE this look! Those colors go great with the white jeans, and I love those booties!

  10. Rachael, I love, love, love this outfit! I am all about going with Spring colors in winter fabrics to get through this final stretch of cold weather. Where I live, too, on Lake Ontario in upstate NY, we still have very cold temperatures until mid-May so I need to get the Spring feeling somehow! That sweater is adorable and it is very striking paired against your white jeans. I love the leopard booties and the leopard earrings are so fantastic!
