Happy Friday Friends!  Is anyone else confused to what day of the week it is?  If you've been following along on my Instagram and Stories, then you know that the family and I have been on vacation up at the lake!  It's been a fun filled week of boating, beach time, and fun in the sun.  Because I'm still on vacation mode, I decided to do a round up of (in my opinion) the best, mom-friendly, swimsuits this season.

Now, you may be asking what make a swimsuit mom-friendly?  I have two main criteria, which are the following:

1. It must hide the tummy.  Now, I know that not all moms are left with a "mom pudge" after having kids, but since carrying twins, I do have extra skin that I'd rather not show.  Plus, since I'm apple shaped, my stomach tends to be my problem area and bloats very easily.  Because of this, I'm much more confident having my tummy covered.  I can't tell you how excited I am that high rise bikinis and one piece swimsuits are in style!  Not only do they cover the stomach, but many have rouching, or patterns that make you appear slimmer.  I love that they're both flattering, and stylish!

2. Nothing should fall out when bending over.  The worst thing is having to constantly adjust your swimsuit all day long, especially when you have young kids.  Because I'm constantly bending over to help my boys, or holding them, I need my bathing suit to stay in place and hold everything in.  I just got this ruffled one piece and wore it all week.  Even though it's an off-the-shoulder cut, the sleeves stayed in place, and I was comfortable wearing it all day long.

I
I'm linking all of my top picks for mom-friendly bathing suits below.  What do you look for in a swimsuit?

  2. I hear you, Rachael! Modesty is everything especially when swimming with young kids who hang and tug and pull at anything they can grab on to! I have to keep it high and tight and fully covered when it comes to my swimsuit choices!

  5. All about a high waisted two piece for me. I also think that having everything tucked in and secure is so important when running after littles at a beach!

  6. Oh my, I just ordered a BUNCH of suits last night. We go to the beach in two weeks and I haven't bought a new suit in a couple of years. Hopefully I'll love one or two of them. Some of the ones you highlighted I noticed and I think I even ordered one or two as well. Wish me luck. Have a great weekend! XO

  8. Ha! You are so right about the nothing should fall out rule of thumb. I recently purchased a bathing suit and I have to keep an eye on that area so it will be my "layout" suit. Thanks for sharing and hosting!
