Sailor Chic

Okay, so I have never actually been sailing, or on a sailboat for that matter (growing up we were a speed boat family, although I would really like to try sailing) and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't wear this blazer or these heels sailing.  However, I love the nautical look of  wearing white and navy together, as it always makes me think of the ocean and a summer breeze.  I was going for an all white look over the weekend, but needed something for warmth since the temps were only in the 50's, so I pulled out my navy blazer and love the contrast it added.  I finished the look with gold jewelry and nude sandals.   At first I was going to apologize for wearing these sandals once again, as you've probably noticed that they've been on major rotation in my closet.  But then I realized that would be silly.  Isn't the point of adding something to your wardrobe to get a lot of use out of it?  I love all the use I've been getting out of these sandals, and that I've been able to show you how I style them different ways.  I'm really trying to cut back on buying items that I only wear once or twice and add more staples to my wardrobe.  So far these Chloé sunnies and Schutz sandals have been the perfect additions.

On a personal note, I want to apologize for not having a post this past Monday.  Early Monday morning my dog, Ava, passed away and I have been a wreck.  I took her to the vet on Sunday afternoon because she was having seizures.  They kept her overnight to monitor her and run some tests, and I got a call Monday morning saying that her heart had stopped.  I'll be doing a post in her honor and include more information on her passing, but in the meantime, I just wanted you to know why I've been absent this week.  My family has always had dogs in the past, so I know how hard it is when they leave us, but for some reason Ava's passing has hit me extra hard.  Maybe because she was my dog, and not my families, or because her passing was a little unexpected, but I miss her so much it hurts.  On a second note, if anyone has some great remedies for de-puffing eyes, I'd be grateful if you would leave them in the comments below.

Jeans: Blank Denim// Tee Shirt: American Apparel// Blazer: Tobey Grey (similar herehere, and here)// Shoes: Schutz (similar here and here)// Bag: Chanel//  Sunnies: Chloé// Necklaces: Sarah ChloeGorjana// Bracelets: Vita FedeLove From Venus// Ring: House of Harlow

PS. in case you haven't heard, Piperlime is closing down, and all of the merchandise is an additional 50% off the sale price.  That is where I got these Schutz heels from, but unfortunately, they are sold out.  Piperlime still has some great merchandise.  Sizes are low, but you never know what you might get lucky on finding.  Hurry, the 30th is the last day!
